Source: Times-News, Burlington, N.迷你倉C.Nov. 16--The Burlington Downtown Corp. has teamed up with an Elon University market research class to gather community input on the BDC's first summer of 4th Friday events, to better plan for next year.Students in a market research class taught by Timothy Norvell , assistant professor of marketing at Elon, have devoted their group projects to surveying the community on this past summer's 4th Friday events in downtown Burlington, evaluating the results and providing the information to the BDC."We often work with courses at Elon," said Anne Morris, BDC executive director.The BDC has previously worked with both the business and communications schools at the university, Morris said, and this particular class is focusing on real market research.One group project's 自存倉urvey, which the BDC published in emails Thursday and posted on Facebook and on the BDC website Friday, attempts to gather the demographics of people visiting downtown, frequency of visits, favorite locations, reasons for attending the 4th Friday events -- ranging from food trucks and alcohol vendors to kids' activities and craft vendors -- and what could improve the events."It'll just help us plan the 4th Fridays for next year," Morris said.To take the survey, visit the BDC website at .BurlingtonDowntown.com, and click "Elon 4th Friday Survey," or check out the "Burlington Downtown Corp." page on Facebook and access the survey from there.Copyright: ___ (c)2013 Times-News (Burlington, N.C.)
