Source: The Times Leader, Wilkes-Barre, Pa.mini storageJuly 23--EXETERBOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING CANCELED: Tonight's meeting of the Wyoming Area Board of Education has been canceled.The next work session will be held on Aug. 20 at 7 p.m. and a regular meeting will be on Aug. 27 at 7 p.m. The meetings will be held in teh Secondary Center auditorium, 20 Memorial St., Exeter.HARVEYS LAKEREWARD IS OFFERED IN SHOOTING CASE: Friends and family of Paul Brace, 19, who was shot multiple times inside a house on Second Street in June, have established a $3,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.Brace's father, Paul Brace, confirmed the reward on Monday.Brace suffered five gunshot wounds and survived after several surgeries at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.His roommate, Adam Weaver, told state police at Wyoming that four armed men forced their way inside the house and asked him, "where the money was," according to a search warrant affidavit.Weaver said he was assaulted as the four intruders rummaged through the house, going to the second floor and ending up in Brace's bedroom. There, Weaver told state police, one of the armed men fired multiple rounds at Brace.No charges have been filed.Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call state police at Wyoming at 697-2000.KINGSTONHEARING IS CONTINUED FOR TOWER GLODZIK: A preliminary hearing for LAG Towing owner Leo Glodzik III on charges he stole $2,100 in bait money planted as suspected drug money in a Cadillac he towed in January was continued.The hearing was continued due to Glodzik's attorney, Joseph Sklarosky Sr., being unavailable due to another hearing at the Luzerne County Courthouse.A new hearing date has not been scheduled.Glodzik is facing two counts of theft. His towing contract with Wiself storagekes-Barre City was suspended when he was charged on May 31.NEW PHILADELPHIASCHUYLKILL CORONER WILL RUN FOR CONGRESS: Schuylkill County Coroner David Moylan has announced, according to The Associated Press, that he will seek the Republican nomination for the 17th congressional district next year.The district has been redrawn to include Schuylkill and parts of Carbon, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe and Northampton counties.Attorney Matt Cartwright, D-Moosic, won the seat last year, defeating a 10-term incumbent from Schuylkill County, Tim Holden, for the Democratic nomination in the primary before defeating Republican candidate Laureen Cummings in the general election.HARRISBURGCOMMENT TIME EXTENDED ON DEP PERMIT DRAFT: The state Department of Environmental Protection on Monday announced an extension of the public comment period for its draft Public Participation Policy for the Permit Review Process. The policy is open for public comment until Aug. 27.The public comment period was originally intended to close on July 22.The comment period has been extended due to a printing error in the Pennsylvania Bulletin that affected the email address given for comments and DEP's desire "to ensure that all have an opportunity to comment on this important policy," Acting DEP Secretary Chris Abruzzo said.The draft policy proposes guidelines for public participation during DEP's permit review process and includes procedures for public hearings, and receiving and responding to public comments.
